Tribal Belly Dancing Today @The Nile

Belly Dancing, tons of vendors, food, and lots of energy today at The Nile.  This is the second annual Tribal Belly Dancing Expo at The Nile and attendance has more than doubled since last year.  This event will go on until 9PM tonight so you still have plenty of time to come check it out.  The Nile, 1721 19th Street, in downtown Bakersfield.

Pain Is Beauty Block Party

103 degree temperature didn’t stop people from coming out to the Pain Is Beauty’s customer appreciation block party in downtown Bakersfield.  There were all types of activities, vendors, food, and live performances.  The master mind behind the whole event was the Pain Is Beauty’s owner and it was a big success.  Check out the photos…

Atomic Kitten Salon & Boutique

Bakersfieldcelebs met with Kresa Hoffman and Ramona Potts the owners of Atomic Kitten located at 2507 F Street, in Downtown Bakersfield.  Between the owners, there is over 20 years of experience in the hair and makeup industry and they both love their profession. Kresa and Ramona have known each other for over 15 years and have always dreamed of having their own salon, which now they do!  Let’s just say this Salon/Boutique is the coolest of the cool!

Atomic Kitten is very involved in the community, local events, and they are always ready to donate their time for fundraisers.  Some of the key employees include Cassie, Lacey, Andrea, Maria, Charlotte, and manicurist Liz.  At Atomic Kitten you can have your hair, nails, and make up done as well as picking top of the line hair products, clothing, and accessories.

A behind the scenes person at Atomic Kitten is Photographer/Designer Eric James.  Eric is responsible for most of the shop’s design.  His artistic vision comes to light all over the salon, with photos, furniture, lighting, etc…, but you must see it in person to really appreciate it.

Kloud Nine Industrees

Atirma Collections Show

Bakersfieldcelebs stopped in at Desi Cafe’s Lounge Room on Panama Ln today for the Atirma Collections Show.  We got to experience first hand some of the finest Indian clothing and accessories, and it was amazing!   Dolly Sheua, Rita Patel, and Punita Patel were on hand to show us everything from Bridal Wear to hand bags, and told us of an upcoming Fashion show in the next couple of months. We’ll keep you posted.

Local Celeb “Adriana”

We caught up to local student, event coordinator, fashion model, and of course local celebrity, Adriana during a photo shoot in downtown Bakersfield today.  Behind the shoot was Ruby Miranda of “Images by Ruby” a local photographer.  Men and women were stopped dead in their tracks to catch a glimpse of this local beauty and Bakersfieldcelebs was lucky enough to catch all the action. We’re hoping Ruby will send us a couple images from the shoot and maybe someday Bakersfieldcelebs will get a photo shoot opportunity!

BakersfieldCelebs.com was on location at the BeBe’s Spring Fashion Show in the Mall!  It all kicked off at 5PM with Dj Danny-Boi in the mix and Adrian the Bartender from Cabana Palm’s serving up the drinks.
